Nicole Gottschalk, Owner

Nicole has more than 20 years experience in the field of market research.

For her thesis “Sylt’s image – region-specific approaches of distinction” she analysed existing surveys, conducted her own study and consolidated the results with the help of a factor analysis.

After graduating Nicole was employed for nine years as a Market Research Manager and Senior Market Research Manager with a number of market leading research companies. She was in charge of national and international clients from a variety of industries including automotive, pharmaceutical/ healthcare, hospitality, retail and public transportation.

Additionally Nicole completed her extra occupational studies “The Principles of Marketing Research” at the University of Georgia.

In 2010 Nicole moved to a global technical service provider for data management, targeting and media execution. In her role as a Senior Market Research Manager she was involved with both market research and statistical extrapolation for Predicted Behavioural Targeting at an international level. She also developed the in-house prediction tool in co-operation with the product development department.

In 2014 Nicole founded gottschalk research.

Marco Sigmann, Senior Research Manager

After receiving a Master of Arts in cultural sciences Marco worked as a research associate at the renowned Hamburger Institute for Social Research.

Primarily he worked in the research units “The Society of the Federal Republic of Germany” and “Nation and Society”. In his role he was intensively focused on social research topics, including the multiannual “Precarious Employment Biographies” project. This was in cooperation with the Institute for Employment Research of the German Federal Employment Agency, and the Institute for Social Science Research in Munich.

Marco played a significant role in the interviews, evaluation and analysis of the complex qualitative panel study. He has extensive experience of conducting in-depth interviews with various target groups.

Marco presented the results of his research project with Hartz IV recipients within the series of lectures “Social Conditions of Work”.

Since 2014 he is working as a Senior Market Research Manager at gottschalk research.
